It’s often confusing when people ask what kind of writing I do because the term “creative writing” can mean fiction, or it can mean a business project that is nontraditional (i.e., not “stuffy.”). These are often media based messages (video, Power Point®, multimedia, web, etc.) but they can also be things like a fun live event script or a trendy annual report.
Beyond the actual writing, I also provide creative concepts, design insights, strategic planning and production oversight. That’s because it’s almost impossible to separate form from function. As a result, the writer may also set the “look and feel” of the finished product. The written document becomes the blueprint for production.
